Henry finished off first grade with straight A's. He completed his first season of flag football; his team went to the championships and we got 2nd. Not bad for his first time playing. He really owned his quarterback position and he even made an interception during the championship game. We are so very proud of Henry, he is really coming out of his shell and he is bright, polite, and an all around great kid. He started off the summer, going camping with a friend and we did not see him for 3 days, any of those who really know Henry, that is huge!!!
Jayce is really coming along, he does not stop talking, I am not exaggerating, it is constant chatter, most of it makes sense, some of it does not. We decided Jayce needed something different as far as child care and we decided that next year we are changing him to a school with more structure, organization, and curriculum. He has only one year until he starts pre-k and I want to be certain he is ready. It was a tough decision, but we had to make the move. Since summer started we are working hard on potty training, we had a huge set back that I did not really find out about until summer, so I re-thought the potty training strategy and took a different angle and it seems to be working. Hopefully within a few weeks he will be in big boy underwear full time.
For those of you who don't know, I am changing schools next year. I transferred back to Magnolia High School. I felt it was time to move back, when I applied to Magnolia ISD, that's where I wanted to work. It was where I graduated from and it was close to home. When I was told I had to go to West, I was okay going there because I had time after school still, that was until Henry started kinder. That's when time became complicated after-school. After 2 years of stressing out after school and asked about coming back and was quickly accepted back. Though I will miss the people I grew close to at West dearly, I know family wise it is the best decision. I am excited about what is ahead.
John is working his tail off as usual. That is the one thing we don't look forward to when summer arrives. We are home for the summer and John is barely home. John works so hard for our family and we completely understand his job and we cherish the times we do get to hang out as a family.
Okay, enough chit-chat, picture time. There is most likely no theme to the following pictures, they are mostly from my phone and what we have been doing since the last post.
