Why is it that when you find yourself in a new role, a leadership role, people change? Or do they change? Maybe they were like this all the time, but you never saw it before and now when seeing people from a different perspective thats when the lenses defog. We are reading The Great Gatsby in class and I had my students analyze a quote from chapter 2,"I was within and without, simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life." (Fitzgerald). This rings true and I get it...it makes so much sense. #gatsby #underlyingtruth I am just blessed to have the small circle of people that I do have, that I can trust and depend on.

Crazy mom moment the other day. It was college day at work and I wanted to wear my UH hoodie, but all my shoes are pink....I don't like pink and red together. I was trying to figure out what shoes to wear, then I had a plan. I woke up Henry and asked to borrow his shoes............................I CAN WEAR MY 9 YEAR OLD'S SHOES!!!!!!! When did that happen? My feet are far from small, I am a size 10 and Henry's shoes fit me perfectly. Then I had an idea, I am so buying Henry the coolest shoes this year. ;)
Jayce is in his second season of flag football and he is excelling. He has made a touchdown every game. The kid can run!!!! John and I are so proud of him and how hard he is trying. Their team is really good and are on a winning streak. I sure hope it stays! ;)
