@@@ July 2011 @@@

WARNING: Lots of pictures ahead!

I have a few weeks to catch up on and believe me they have been busy! John's family came in July 14th and his parents stayed through that Monday and his sister and the cousins stayed until the 26th!! To all the birthdays I forgot, I'M SOOOOO SORRY!! Happy belated birthday to Pa Black and my Grandma Flanders, all I can say is I will do better next year. Also, Happy Belated Anniversary to John's Parents!! All these were on my calender of course, but it helps when you have time to look at the calender. ;) It was so much fun having everyone in town, you really do not realize how chaotic it is until you come home to an empty house. I will do this post in sections to make sure I don't miss any of the important stuff we have been up to. Here we go...
Jayce is ALL about his Aunty!
I finally got a nice shot with the booger!
I love this picture!
The Cousins...
Daddy and Henry waiting for their turn to bowl.
Jayce was all about Tay-Tay, but he finally settled down and paid his Grandma Bente some attention.
She had food, of course!

THEMED DINNER NIGHTS: we were trying to watch our spending, so we ate dinners mostly at home, to make it more fun, every night had a theme...

Italiano Night:
I have to brag, I made Rachael Ray's Lazy Lasagna with Lamb Ragu and Spinach Ricotta, it was a huge SUCCESS, most everyone went back for seconds and no one even complained that there was spinach in the recipe!!! Jessica made fake mustaches for everyone and they colored their own Italian themed place mat.
Western Night:
This was a fun night, we went to the dollar store and bought the hats, bandannas, and some six shooters and ate Spicy Dr. Pepper Shredded Pork Sandwiches. The kids had a lot of fun.

Ghetto Fab Night:
I think Jessica and I had more fun than the kids on this night. We sagged the pants, over did the make-up and tattooed ourselves with washable markers. It was GREAT!! We ate little Taquitos and played fun music in the background.

A day at the pool: lucky for us these kiddos are happy in the pool!!

JULY 22, 2011: FIRST TOOTH LOST!!
The story: Henry's tooth had been crazy loose for a month or so. The night before, he was sleeping in the living room with Mykel and he got up in the middle of the night to visit our room, only he did not expect our door to be close and proceeded to walk straight into our door with a heart attack causing THUD! I didn't think anything of it at the time, of course it was close to 2 a.m.; I settled him back into the living room and he quickly feel back to sleep. The next morning, us girls come back from getting our hair cut and we are getting ready to leave again and I am putting on my shoe; I finally get it situated and I feel something sharp poking my foot. I take my shoe off and empty, what do I find in my shoe?? Henry's tooth...I'm thinking this is odd, I call Henry into my room and asked if he was missing something, he shrugs (classic move), and feels for his tooth. He was so excited, he thought he had lost it and was upset about it and I guess wasn't going to tell me. It all turned out fine though, we believe he lost it when he smacked into the door and found its way into my shoe. I know...these odd findings are normal in our life.

Putting his tooth under his pillow...
Henry's surprise the next morning!
Jessica was sleeping on the couch that night and she said that early in the morning, she could hear him opening the tooth case and looking inside, he unfolded the money and then put it back under the pillow and went back to sleep!! I love it!!!

Okay, I have taken up enough of your time. Enjoy the rest of the week. We love all of you!!!

Funny Post:

I am going to let the pictures do the talking in a bit. First, Henry was fishing in our pond and caught a good sized bass and was V-E-R-Y proud of his acomplishment. He did this all on his own, he casted out in the pond, hooked the fish, and reeled in the big guy.
I have some really cute pictures of both the boys on my phone, but for some reason, my email is not downloading properly and I am having technical difficulties, so hopefully at a later date.

{NOW....}

For the FUNNY part of the post: The other morning (Henry was still asleep), Jayce and I went outside and played with the bubble machine. I grabbed my camera and sat down. This is what happened in the next 5 minutes or so. (I should note, he brings me the gel and asks me to fix his hair!) I call this...

***THE MANY FACES OF JAYCE***

I am in over my head with this one family and friends!! ;) He is so cute and little stinker at the same time. :) Happy Friday everyone!!
