This & That...

Henry thought Valentine's Day was cool this year. He got to have a little party at school and he got cards and candy, which made his day!!!







Okay, people have been requesting belly shots, keep in mind the one behind the camera here is 3!!! But, this is "literally" a belly shot! Ha! I am 29 weeks this week, this was taken last Friday.

Jayce moves and grooves constantly, Henry informed me that his baby brother was taking too long!! Ha! Lets see if he thinks the same thing when Jayce makes his arrival. I have approx. 10 more weeks to go.

Sunday: We went out to my Dad's Cow "office" and did a little fishing and I was able to get some good pictures.




We gave Outlaw a chance around the cows, he growled they started heading towards him, he ran back to us as quickly as he could and we decided to keep Outlaw away from the cows!!! But, it was good for him to get out of the house and be a dog for a change!!!! Henry was so concerned that we were taking him, he told us, "but, I don't want the cows to eat my dog!"


And the catch of the day goes to...John!!

@@@ Recipe @@@

I normally don't do this, but I got this recipe off of Kraft.com and I thought it was so good. It was easy to make, Henry ate it very well (which is always a challenge), and it was a good leftover food as well. Hope you try and like it, we did!!

Irish Beef Stew:

What You Need:
2 Tbsp. Oil
1 - 2 lbs. beef stew meat (I cut these even smaller for Henry)
2 Tbsp. flour
1 large onion, coarsley chopped
1 Can (14 1/2 oz.) beef broth
1 Can (14 1/2 oz.) stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 env. of Lipton soup mix Garlic and Herb
3 medium potatoes, cut into 3/4 inch cubes
3 medium carrots, cut into 1/2 pieces (I used baby carrots and cut the in half)
3 cups hot cooked noodles (You can use any variety, whatever is fun for the kids!)

How To Make It:
HEAT oil in 5-quart sauce pan on medium-high. Coat meat with flour (I added steak seasoning to the flour). Add to saucepot with onion; cook and stir until brown. Stir in broth, tomatoes, and soup mix. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

ADD potatoes and carrots; cover and simmer an additional 30 minutes. Remove cover and simmer for 15 more minutes or until meat and veggies are tender and sauce is thickened, stirring occasionally.

SERVE over noodles. I sprinkled some cheese on top for Henry, I thought some sour cream would be good on top as well, but that could be the pregnant woman in me!! ;) It was even better for lunch the second day!!!

Good enough that I thought I would share, not a 30 minute meal, but it simmers enought that you can get other stuff done while it is cooking.

Family Outting...

We went out to Paw-Paw's "office" yesterday. On the land that my dad keeps his cows is a couple of ponds and we set out to see if there were any fish in these ponds. That there was, we had a blast pulling up bass for fun. Henry had fun riding around on Paw-Paw's gator and helping him do cow stuff. It was a nice day outside and we spent most of the day over there, by the end of the day, I realized I had pushed myself a little too much. I just get too competitive with John to stop. By the way, I caught the bigger bass! HeeHee...

Everyone is doing well!! Last Friday, the craving for a caramel frappacino became too much for me to ignore and I had my first one in 6 months. Wow! the students thought I had gone nuts I was so hyper. Later that evening, I guess the OD of caffeine caught up to Jayce, the kid was going crazy kicking and flipping. Every time John would put his hand on my tummy, Jayce would stop kicking, but he could see the movement. Henry started watching and I grabbed his hand and put it on my belly, it was no time and Jayce gave the hardest kick and it knocked Henry's hand off my tummy. You should of seen Henry's face, he was like whoa! That was creepy and he would not touch my tummy again. It was funny, now he is really asking questions, along with many other random questions. Not up to much...

I realized I had not blogged in awhile. In all honestly, we are not doing much these days. We never know how I will be feeling, we have been fighting the crud off and on. When it comes to the weekend, we have been veggin' out so to speak. We are all doing better, but we are practicing staying home a lot when Jayce gets here. We are pretty much get up and go, go, go people, so we are trying to slow down and enjoy family time at home, instead of going out, spending money, etc. Henry is getting so big, I cannot believe the things he wants to talk about, he is Mr. Inquizitive latley, it is soooo funny. Jayce is constantly flipping and kicking making me very aware of his presence. I am getting fairly uncomfortable with only 2 1/2 months to go, Jayce is very compact and all in my ribs, so I have a hard time breathing. I guess with teaching my feet are already starting to swell (fun), and it is always fun I cannot sit down or stand up for long periods of time. Plus, I am back to wanting to sleep a lot. Though every inch of this is worth it, I have no problem saying this is the last child!! ;) John is working hard, working late most nights, and I am trying to stay patient with the kiddos at school. Happy New Year

HaPpY nEw YeAr!!!!!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year!!! I cannot believe my Christmas break is already over. Though I did not accomplish everything on my list, I did enjoy staying home. Ahhhh! The best part of being a teacher, vacations!! ;) We repainted our room and decorated Jayce's room. We are very pleased about how the room turned out!! (I'll post pictures later!) Instead of writing way too much, I will let the pictures explain what we have been up to!!!!

Santa's Christmas Morning Surprise!


Henry enjoyed all of his gifts, he was so fun to watch open gifts this year, because he was able to tell us what he wanted and for him to open the present and see that it was something that he had been wanting, his reaction was priceless.

New Year's Eve: This was a fun evening, we had our close friends over and then we surprised John, by his fmaily showing up as well and we all brought in the new year together, just hanging out and playing Wii!!!



Monster Jam 2009!!! This was our 2nd year to attend the Monster Jam show at the Reliant Stadium, it is such an awesome event!! We had great seats and and a great time!!!





Today is our 7th wedding anniversary!! It was a great day considering I had to go back to work. John proved that there is still a romantic deep down, I received a beatiful bouqet of roses and an awesome necklace. We had a nice dinner ALONE at the Melting Pot. I cannot believe it has been 7 years, I am looking forward to the years ahead.

Jayce is moving and grooving in the tummy, he is constantly moving, (usually keeping me awake), I have my next appointment next Thursday!!!
