The 2nd Annual Bente Boys Bash!!

Between the party, Easter, and Jayce's birthday, I took 302 pictures. With this said, I will spare you the time and do several post this week. In order of appearance, I am going to start with the birthday party. What a crazy party. We had a huge turn out and I think everyone had a great time. It always cracks me up how people show up and leave in waves. We had a great time and Henry did not slow down until late that evening. Thank you to everyone who showed up to celebrate my babies' special day.

I thought it would be cool if our party guest entered through the jaw of a shark, so I called up my creative sis-in-law and we put the plan in motion!!
John who said that he would not help because it was too difficult, was right in the middle of our project!
I think it turned out way above my expectations!! Thanks Sis you rock!!
Henry thought it was way cool!!
The kiddos getting tattooed up!!
Cuz love!!
The birthday boys!!
Pinata Fun!!
Opening presents was great: Cheryl, you will be glad to know that you made the oldest birthday boy blush, when he pulled out the guitar underwear, he turned instantly red! Ha!
Jayce thought his piano was awesome, can't you tell from the look on his face?!
Grandpa Bente fishing with all the munchkins!!
PaPaw getting a rare moment of cuddle time at the end of the night!!

There were so many pictures it was VERY hard to choose, I thought I would keep it short and sweet. Easter pictures tomorrow!!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Jayce!!!

We cannot believe how fast this birthday has become, it does not seem that long ago when you were just a tiny one swaddled in the hospital blanket. You amaze me and your Dad more and more each day. My favorite so far is when Daddy was getting on to you and you just widened those big blues eyes and waited patiently for him to finish talking, then you simply asked "Why?" There was no keeping a straight face. You are your own little person and I love how you already stand up for yourself. We love you Jayce Robert Bente.....
Just 1 year ago, you were barely walking:
Then you got the hang of it and are very creative,
You have no problem relaxing,
Your a ham too!
You love your big brother and want to do everything he does...
But, you have no problem playing by yourself as well.
You love food!
I can count on you to make a mess!!

You're adventureous,
As you are cute!

I love to watch you sleeping!
And did I mention you are so cute!
And that you love your big bro and he loves you!
You are gettting so big!
Maybe a bit too fast!!
You are grwoing up fast and you are always on the move.
I don't believe you slow down until you are asleep...
My big/little 2 year old boy.
How we love watching you grow!!

It's a Moosical!!

We are so proud of Henry! He participated in his Kindergarten Program which was a Moosical. He was a chicken and a funky chicken at that!!! It was so neat to see him perform with no fear and just have fun. It is even cooler to hear what people have to say about Henry. His teacher, the librarian, and his music teacher just love him and drench him with praises. We had a dad approach us and wanted to meet this Henry guy that his daughter always talks about, and another mom tell me how she couldn't believe Henry stood in front of the other students and recite the creed into a microphone at morning assembly. Again, who is this kid when we are not around!? We also went to his spring carnival, which was a fun way to spend my Mom's birthday!! Jayce is getting so big and starting to communicate better. My mom was picking on Jayce the other day by making the "ooooo" sound and Jayce looked at her and said "No ooooooo!! It was so funny, he is such a crazy kid!! Okay, I will stop gushing over my kids and let you see the pictures!!

Spring Carnival:
Jayce loved cotton candy!

Moosical:

Welcome to Our Fun Filled Farm!
Waiting to sing the next song:
All the Kindergarten Classes:
The Funky Chicken:
Chicken and Pig: A.K.A. Henry and Nikki
The master mind of the Moosical: Miss Chandler
This was so cool and I am so glad that Henry wanted to be a part of something like this. I think I can speak for John and my parents, it was a very special evening!!! XOXO

Happy 6th Birthday Henry Allen

Dear Henry,
       I cannot believe it has been 6 years already french fry. I still remember hearing your cry the moment you took your first breathe. I remember thinking, that is my child and I remember this uncontrollable urge to protect you. I felt so much in that moment, anxiety, pure joy, and what I now know as unconditional love. I want so much for you and I am so proud of who you are becoming. You are polite, compassionate, whitty, and so intelligent. There are not enough words to express what you mean to me. All I can do is soak you and your rays up and enjoy every second of your childhood. I love you Henry Allen Bente. Your Dad and I are so immensly proud of you and we encourage you to keep trying new things and live your life with your head held high and be confident in all you do. XOXO

Henry told me he didn't want to go out to eat for his birthday this year because when he was 4 they put whip cream in his face! Ha, we thought it was hilarious, obviously, he did not think so. We celebrated his birthday this evening, because John has to be out of town tomorrow, but he gets to have a friend over tomorrow to make up for Dad being out of town. Have a good week!!!

Sweet Spring!!

I love spring, it is my favorite time of year, not too hot, not too cold, and even some rain in between. What is better than that?! We have just been hanging out around the house and playing outside until the moon chases us inside. I love to hear Henry and Jayce's laughter floating into the house while I cook dinner, straighten up the house, and take some time for me. It one of my favorite sounds. April is such a busy month for our family, that the weekdays are actually more relaxing than the weekends. This past weekend was my birthday, thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes. It is always nice to see who thinks of you on the day you were born, it reminds me that even though I might not see all of you very often, that you are still there and we all care for one another. I really wanted to go and take pictures with the bluebonnets, so John not wanting to say no to anything I suggested (I heart birthday week!), said let's go. I have to admit now though, that the bluebonnet picture thing is for the girls. It is simply a cuter picture than boys stomping on the flowers. ;) Enjoy some of this weeks pictures.
{I love a great picture of my boys}

{Bluebonnet: Brenham, Texas}
{Henry is not so little anymore}
{Don't let this look fool you, he has his eye on a bluebonnet and ready to stomp}

{Jayce just enjoying running wild}
{Look Mom a grasshopper! See what I mean,forget the pretty flowers, let's find bugs instead}
By the way, the green spot on his left arm is the grasshopper springing for his life!

{At least John and I got a picture out of the trip}
{One of my birthday surprises from the 3 Bente boys}

I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Next weekend is operation get the yard in order for the boys' party!
