What We Have Been Up To!!!

I haven't updated in awhile, so this might be longer than usual. ;0) I am just going to let the pictures do the talking!!!

We went down to John's parents for Easter. Henry did great on the road (we have had problems in the past), when we got there, he played hard and was groucher than usual, but all in all it was a great time.

Henry on the road. As long as he had his pop tart, his monster jam, his puppy, & his favortie PJs and he is a happy camper.

Officially Potty Trained

I think I can offically announce proudly that Henry is potty trained. I did not think it was ever going to happen, at first he had no interest in using the big boy potty and seemed satisfied with the pull up; my sitter suggested bringing him in regular underwear and we took off from there. It took a little while for him to tell us, so we would just take him on a regular basis and then he just caught on from there. Now, he refuses to where pull-ups and has us worried at night about accidents, but we have only had two so far and we as parents are getting better about not letting him drink too much before bed. My goal was before 3 years old, I tried at 2, there was no way that was going to happen, so I moved it up to 3 and we made it with 2 months to spare!!! Here are a few pitures on what we have been doing the last few weeks.
I took this picture on the boat Saturday, he loves riding on the boat!! It is a great picture!

We went bowling Friday night, again Henry had a blast and was not too bad with a little help from us!!

Of course Valentines Day was fun for Henry, the kiddos took turns handing out their Valentines and they thought that was really cool.

Henry lives and breathes Monster Trucks at the moment, Saturday night he emptied ALL of his toy bends and then put his trucks in them and strewned them all over the living room. This was just great in my mind, so we decided we would have a little lesson and we told him that whatever toys were on the ground in his room were going to be thrown away, we got a big trash bag and started putting toys in it, and Henry was like here you go this is trash, and started helping us put all of his toys in the trash, except his monster trucks and McQueen cars, Geez, talk about back-firing on us!!! So, we took a different approach, got rid of the junk toys like McDonald stuff, and had a donating pile, and a keep pile. We would ask Henry what he wanted us to do with the toys and he would say "Trash, Mine, or Other Kids" So, after all that it was good, because we got rid of some clutter, and he learned that there were other kids that needed toys and was willing to sacrifice some of his toys.

Monster Jam

We took Henry to Monster Jam '08 and oh are we in for it; this kid is a Monster Truck junkie!!! Lightening McQueen is being jumped by Grave Digger!!! It is too funny. Here are some pictures from are 1st, but certainly not last time at Monster Jam...
Henry waiting for the "BIG" trucks!!!

Batman was Henry's 2nd Favorite Truck...

It def. captured his attention...

His favorite is Grave Digger...

We were able to meet Grave Digger's Driver the Friday before and he signed Henry's Little Grave Digger, it was great, then Henry wanted to see his truck and he LICKED off the autograph!! Geez!!!
This was an outstanding family experience and I believe we are Monster Jam Fans from here on out!!!!!

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this last bit of so-called "winter weather".

Pre-Monster Jam Show!!!

Wow! I just had the best morning. We are taking Henry to Monster Jam tomorrow evening and John found out that The Grave Digger was going to be at UTI this morning, which is down the street from his work. So we decided that it would be cool for Henry to see the "big truck" up close a personal. We had a good time and we even got a brief demo of what we will see tomorrow. The driver even signed Henry's little grave digger! It was so fun.

Riding his first bike!!!

We had a few first today that I had to share. He got a little Radio Fyler Tricycle for his birthday last year and today was the first day that he rode it all by himself!!! Yea! Henry, he did not want to get off, until Daddy started the boat of course!! He also received his first bloody nose today. He was riding his Jeep around and ran smack dab into the slide,at the same time his little nose hit the top of the windsheild and all I heard was crying. The nothing but blood dripping down his face. It was hard as a mom not to flip out, but I was proud of myself, stayed calm, called for John's help and it stopped fairly quickly. We are in Day 5 of wearing big boy underwear, we had a rough day yesterday, but the other 4 days have been going smoothly. I am just being consistent as possible and he is getting better. Henry's only problem is he acts like he is going to miss out on so much, just to stop and use the potty. Wow, it is on mid-January and two more first under our belts, I cannot wait to see what else this year has in store for our family. Have a great week everyone!!!
