Beach Vacation: Part I

I am doing this post in two parts, mainly because each part deserves its own section. We had a great time in Galveston this year, the weather was great, we were able to spend time as a family, and the fishing was SPECTACULAR!! The pictures have to do the talking here...

First sizable fish of the day was a black tip shark: this is really exciting for Henry, because he is a shark fan, plus we had been watching Shark week on Discovery all week; so it was really neat to identify all the different characteristics of the shark we had learned about.
My first big catch: a red fish (by the way this is one of my favorite fish to hook on to, they put up a fight!)
Day 2 is pretty much all John, he had incredible luck and I am so glad he had a fishing day like this because it has been ages!!

A Speckled Trout
A Red for Daddy!
Red #2 for me!
The the big Kahuna:

It took John over 30 minutes to get this one onto shore...

Look at that smile, he is cheesing big time!

Every one thought the Bull Red was the coolest thing. We have a crowd behind the camera as well.

John caught a huge Speckled Trout

Then Black Tip #2!!

Along with these monsters, we caught sand trout, croakers, whiting, and more. It was amazing fishing and it was so much fun. Surf fishing is great because you never know what you have hooked onto!!!

Part two of this post is below, check out our beach pictures.
