Jayce's First Football Game: April 5, 2014

We officially have both boys in flag football. What a day it is; we start at 8:15 and we end at 2pm. But it is worth it, both boys love the game and enjoy playing. But, for today, the focus is on Jayce since this Saturday was his first game. He did so well and we were so proud of him and the way he handled himself.

You could tell he was nervous, but he listened and payed close attention. A field with nothing but 4-5 years old is something that everyone should be able to witness, I have not laughed and enjoyed a game this much. See Henry was almost 6 years old when he started, not 4 like Jayce, so we had no idea what to expect.

One kid on the other team kept pulling and tackling his own teammates when they got the ball. Kids running to the wrong end zones. One boy started to cry when his flags were pulled and then had a permanent scowl on his face the rest of the game. The best is one of our boys started running to the wrong end zone, John ran in front of him, and was sliding along with him, telling him to turn the other way. After all that, Jayce's team won 28-14!

 Jayce almost made a touchdown! BUT, even better, if you look on the sidelines, Henry and Nic are running with Jayce!
